What to Expect at Peninsula Eyecare
When you arrive at Peninsula Eyecare you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff and asked to fill in our welcome form. Your optometrist will then welcome you into the consulting room where a comprehensive eye examination will take place. This will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes and includes all standard tests including glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration and pathology. We’ll also check for any signs of concern, such as melanoma and other systemic diseases.
Once the examination is complete, your optometrist will explain results as well as available options and the best course of action whether it be a new pair of glasses or a referral to a recommended ophthalmologist.
If you need a new pair of glasses, one of our expert optical dispensers will talk you through your options and help you choose the perfect frames and lenses. We’ll then order your glasses through our main laboratory, CR Surfacing in Melbourne, and give you a call when they are ready. When it’s convenient, you can come back in for a fitting and take your glasses home.
